Only got a weekend in Noosa?

It's probably not enough time to do absolutely everything. But it is enough time to experience the best of it without rushing around or spending half your trip in the car.

This itinerary is all about keeping things easy, staying close to the action and making the most of your time.

Beaches, coastal walks, good food, sunset drinks and experiencing the highlights on Noosa.

Day 1: Walks, Beach & Sunset

Morning: Noosa National Park Coastal Walk

Start your trip with this - and go early.

Now, we've said in the past that we're not about getting up at the crack of dawn to beat the crowds and get those 'influencer' pics. And we stand by it. But there is a reason for us advising going early and that is the heat.

Noosa gets hot, the earlier you go, the cooler it will be. It's also better to go early if you want. a better chance at grabbing a parking spot. But don't bank on that - it gets busy!

The Coastal Walk has:

  • insane ocean views

  • hidden beaches

  • possible dolphin/whale sightings

Afternoon: Noosa Main Beach & Hastings Street

After the walk, straight to the beach.

Noosa Main Beach is right next to Hastings Street, absolutely gorgeous and prefect for relaxing and swimming.

Don't worry if you don't have beach chairs etc with you - there is a stand where you can rent everything you need. And it's really reasonably priced!

If you're feeling in need of a diet coke, some oysters or a cheeky cocktail after your walk (or something more substantial!) head the Surf Club, Boardwalk Bistro or Bistro C for views of the beach.

Evening: Dinner + Noosa Spit sunset

Sticking to Hastings Street for the evening, watch one of the best sunsets in Noosa and grab some dinner.

The sun sets fairly early in Noosa all year round so we'd recommend booking your dinner reservation (and you do need a reservation!) for after the sunset.

Then, head on down to our fave sunset spot, Noosa Spit for views, vibes and maybe a Yo-Chi to go!

Day 2: River, Sailing and Cocktails

Morning: Slow start + coffee

Take this morning easy and grab breakfast along Gympie Terrace. We love Depot for their great menu and great coffee. And it has views of the river. (We advise booking in advance on the weekend!).

Late Morning / Afternoon: Boat Hire

Book your boat hire in advance - this is another one of the best things to do in Noosa. We recommend Pelican Boat Hire if you're looking for a chilled boat vibe with a BBQ or RoundABoat if you're having more of a day sesh/cruisey vibe!

You can take some drinks, go fishing or just take in all the amazing views the Noosa River has to offer.

Night: Noosa Junction

If you’ve got energy left, head to Noosa Junction for the evening.

Have a later dinner and then stay out for a cocktail (or two...or three) at Mr Drifter, New York Minute or 4 Pines - on a Sunday, 4 Pines turns into a piano bar which is loads of fun!

For dinner we love Light Years for a more boujee evening or Somedays Pizza if you're looking for something more casual.

Final Thoughts

A weekend in Noosa is short, but it doesn’t need to feel rushed.

If you use this itinerary as a guide, you'll have an amazing time and see the best of what Noosa has to offer!

And realistically? You’ll already be planning your next one!
